Nuns can contribute to the Dhamma and can train equally as any men.....

---> Sister Khema with Ruth Denison and Ven. Bhante Vimalaramsi  in Joshua Tree , CA March 2009.

Ruth has been a tremendous example for all of us about not giving up no matter the odds. Living in the dessert is not an easy thing.

It was a real honor to represent women at this World Buddhist Conference and be able to attend as the Chairwoman for United International Buddha Dhamma Society (UIBDS), which is the supporting structure for Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center development.

America showed it's face as women and men equally supporting the Buddha Dhamma.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share points of Dhamma with some of the most prestigious monks attending .
<-- sister Khema at the center in Spring 2009.....

There was an opportunity to assist with a discussion group and to keep minutes while vaired traditions looked at their similarities together.

Only two other nuns were active in reaching out to help with urging further communications.

No

No weather will stop the development of the new study center.....

Often times there are long distances to travel while attending Ven. Vimalaramsi....

The biggest pleasure is in the service of supporting others to discover this Dhamma is REAL>>>>>> and brings to us a smile...

Even when it is very cold, the work goes on...

One of the things we do alot of around here is clearing of the land for building, walking, sitting, etc.  Hauling brush is standard exercise..... cleaning up areas for students to do walking...

Since the beginning, Antra Berger has been a strong supporter of Women learning and eventually teaching the Dhamma equally as men. She supports Rev. Sister Khemas ideas about earning respect through going through the same traditional training, practice, and study.
